WirTek has just gone through a certification process within the internationally acknowledged quality management system, ISO 9001:2000; this means that WirTek’s Danish departments are now ISO certified.
WirTek’s Romanian development department will undergo the same certification process in the course of the second half of 2006. The next initiative in the continuous process of maintaining focus on quality and development will be the work with the so-called EFQM Excellence Model.
Eight quality management principles with ISO 9001:2000
ISO 9001:2000 is based on eight quality management principles (customer focus, leadership, involvement, processes, systems, continual improvement, factually based decisions, and supplier relationships), which help organizations improve their results. The EFQM Excellence Model
The EFQM Excellence Model is a holistic way to self-assessment with focus on the relationship between efforts and results. Innovation and learning are also listed as fundamental concepts in EFQM, where you, as an organization, work towards ”excellence”.
