We are excited to announce that Wirtek has signed a binding contract regarding the acquisition of Pragmasoft, a software solutions company located in Porto, Portugal. After a thorough and successful due diligence process over the last few months, this acquisition is now finalized. The acquisition process, initially announced on 18 April 2024 (company announcement 06/2024), concludes with the effective date set for 1 August 2024.
This acquisition is a significant milestone for Wirtek, creating a new avenue for growth, enhancing clean energy capabilites and services to our clients globally.
Strategic Alignment with Accelerate25XL
This acquisition aligns perfectly with Wirtek’s Accelerate25XL strategy and fulfills the strategic goal of establishing a sourcing location outside Romania by 2025 while significantly strengthening our competencies in the clean energy domain.
Expanding Expertise and Client Base
By acquiring Pragmasoft, Wirtek gains access to a highly profitable company, incorporating approximately 20 skilled IT professionals and a new international client base. This enhances our ability to service clients across Europe and the USA from our development and test centers in Romania, Portugal, and Denmark.
Unlocking New Clean Energy Opportunities
With the recent acquisition of assets from Seluxit A/S, the combined capabilities of Wirtek, Pragmasoft, and Seluxit open new long-term strategic possibilities in the clean energy market. Over the next few months, Wirtek will evaluate these opportunities to maximize value for our clients and stakeholders.
